MISSION STATEMENT
The Florida Association of Mounted Patrols (FLAMP) is a not-for-profit entity dedicated to broaden the abilities of law enforcement agencies throughout the State of Florida to provide professional public safety services through the advancement of mounted law enforcement and civilian equestrian support organizations.
GOALS

Administer and maintain a comprehensive directory of mounted police and civilian equestrian support organizations throughout the State of Florida.

Have every mounted police and civilian equestrian support organizations in the State of Florida as a member of FLAMP.

Be a centralized source of information to Florida’s mounted law enforcement community through distribution of relevant news and events.

Assist with coordination of mutual aid for equestrian law enforcement support for emergencies and pre-planned operations.

Be a resource to FLAMP members for printed materials relevant to mounted law enforcement, to include but not limited to sample policies and procedures, documents describing “best practices”, horse and rider assessments, etc.

Establish a voluntary Accreditation program for Florida law enforcement agencies with mounted police units and/or civilian equestrian support organizations.
