Website For Your Unit

If your mounted police unit or civilian equestrian support organization does not yet have a presence on the world wide web, please contact us to learn how you can have your own website as a subdomain under FLAMP.  Your web address would look similar to

 Example: http://yourunit.flamp.org. 

It's that easy.  We are eager to offer this service to FLAMP members as we understand that for many units and organizations, funding can sometimes be challenging.  Once FLAMP sets up your subdomain, you are free to create and edit your webpages however you like.  For more information, contact us.

Documents Library

In our Documents Library you will find digital versions of mounted police related documents such as policies and procedures, "best practices", training materials, presentations, etc.  If you have such documents that you wish to share with other units or organziations, please email them to us as an attachment to documents@flamp.org.

Once files are received, they will be made available to FLAMP members through this page.

Mutual Aid

Today, more than ever, law enforcement agencies must operate more effectively and efficiently with less.  That is why mutual aid between agencies is so important.  FLAMP is there to coordinate mounted police assistance to your agency from equestrian law enforcement units across the State if needed for emergencies or pre-planned operations.

Information Source

FLAMP will be your centralized source of information to the mounted law enforcement community through distribution of mounted police related news and events.  We will distribute information to FLAMP members by posting it on the calendar and News and Events pages of this website, as well as through FAX and email distribution.

Accreditation

A voluntary program for Florida mounted police units and civilian equestrian support organizations.  Accredited status will be bestowed upon such units and organizations that meet established mounted law enforcement standards.

Are you considering starting a mounted police unit or civilian equestrian support organization but don't know where to start?  Let FLAMP give you a hand.  We will arrange for qualified individuals to meet with you to help you and your agency establish a successful and professional unit or organization.

Training

A truly professional mounted police unit or civilian equestrian support organization can only be achieved through quality training on a regular basis.  Such training should be conducted by qualified mounted police instructors to bolster your agency's position in defending itself against potential litigation.  FLAMP can help arrange for qualified instructors to assist your unit or organization with its training needs.
